Remember to include the date when service will be available again (Jan. 3rd) or when you will return. The Circulation voicemail recorded message should include the URL for the Libraries' Web site.

Monthly Reports

Greetings!
Monthly reports are due by Friday, May 5th. Circ staff please add your monthly statistics to the ACL report on the shared drive. Reference staff please place your instruction/off desk statistics in my mailbox at circ desk.

Equipment Manuals

All of the equipment manuals are now located in the bottom drawer of the administrative file cabinet at the circulation desk. This includes manuals for the microfiche readers, media equipment, etc. So if you need help with operating any of our equipment you can find a manual in one central location now.

Supplies

The emergency preparedness supplies have been moved from the staff lounge to the storage room behind the reference staff office. The supplies include buckets, mops, plastic sheeting, etc. If anyone does not know where the storage room behind the reference staff office is please let me know and I will be glad to show you.

There is an emergency preparedness manual in each staff office and at each service desk. Please familiarize yourself with the procedures and order of authority (people to contact in case of an emergency). The order of authority is updated as people leave ACL and/or the Arlington Campus. Currently the order in which people are contacted are (1)Page, (2)Nancy, (3)Marissa, (4)Lee.

Technology supplies, including software, manuals and peripherals are now located in the tall lateral file cabinet in the staff lounge. This cabinet will be kept locked and the key will be available at the circ desk along with the key to the xerox paper supply room and the assistive technology room.

Thank you!

I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind wishes and the lovely party and gift.

I've really learned a lot working at the Arlington Campus Library, and I'm going to miss you guys! I've given Page my email address, so please feel free to ask her for it and keep in touch. Hopefully, I'll be in to visit from time to time. And, if you're ever in Dupont Circle, stop by and say hello!!

Monthly Reports

Hello, Hello, Hello!

Monthly reports are due by Wednesday, April 5th. Circ staff please add your monthly statistics to the ACL report on the shared drive and reference staff please submit your instruction/off desk statistics by this date as well. VCE Deliveries, Faxes, Etc.

Hello all!

For some reason, VCE has me as the "Ship to" person on all of their paperwork; so, I've been mostly receiving other people's bills via fax. However, today, they actually shipped someone's chair to me!

I've put in a call to VCE to try to remedy this; however, in the meantime, please check faxes, invoices, etc. to see if a fax or piece of furniture is really for the library. If not, please route to the appropriate department.

Typewriter Access

Everyone,

There is a typewriter in the Assistive Technology room now for students and faculty to use. It will be kept there from now on. The key to the room is at the circ desk if you need to let someone in.

Circulation Tips of the Day

Tip #1
When the message "Catalog Review" appears after checking in an item at the circulation desk, please send that item to Friedgard Cowan at Fenwick. Friedgard handles item maintenance tasks such as this for ACL. This item status is a result of inactivity. The item has not circulated in quite some time and has actually been removed from the catalog. Friedgard reinstates the item for us.

Tip #2
Item Requests (rush cataloging an item that is at Fenwick) is available to GMU staff, faculty and students only. We do not provide this service for Consoritum patrons at this time.
